Fantastic sushi! Creative rolls, friendly staff (Patty is our fav), and classic Japanese fare. When I lived in Alameda, I went almost weekly!
Food was delicious, but it took about 20 minutes to have our order taken.
Great little local Japanese sushi place. Great food and a fine value. Service is also reliable. I would eat here again.
A quarantine lifesaver. Thank you!
Good sushi, exceptionally slow service. Got there at 6:50, seated by 7, order for drinks taken at 7:05, then waited till 7:25 for someone to come by and take our order, which is all ok. Then, at 8:30, we got our food. An hour and a half after we had sat down, we got our food. The waitress apologized for the wait after acting surprised that we hadn’t ordered but honestly that’s unacceptable, especially since at least three groups larger than ours came in after us and all got served and fed before us. Clearly they don’t have a problem bringing people in, but they lost a potential repeat customer.
Best food, friendly employees, constantly fantastic mood. They charge affordable pricing and the food quality is great. Highly recommended.
Great sushi on the island. Much better than sushi house for the same price. Plus, the service is great.
Love yokohama! Best sushi on the island. Their mackerel is also the best I’ve have. We go here about 1-2x a month! Recommend highly! Also they are very sweet!
Good neighborhood sushi joint but nothing to write to Japan about. Service was a little spotty but it’s definitely a decent joint. There are better though.
Small sushi portions and over priced. Service was very good though.
Great little spot. Quiet and friendly. Great food too!
Fantastic service and food was great! Owners were very friendly and kind.
I love this place!
Best Sushi place on this side of the island.
Dont like to be served in Tupperware overpriced.
Great sushi. Love the bridges. Friendly staff.
I just tired out this place yesterday and it was delicious!! I ordered a Baked Scallop roll and it was perfect. The price of the rolls were no more than $11 and the staff are extremely friendly. We also ordered the Small Combo that had 4 to 5 different kinds of fish. It came with, salad and rice for about $25. It looked so pretty! I will definitely come back here again.
This is one of my favorite spots in Alameda. Staff is always super friendly and food is amazing. We got the Alameda Sushi Bridge, and it was fantastic and very filling. My son got chicken Udon and it was soo much food. If ever I am in town I will always find my way back here.
Excellent sushi.
Solid Japanese American food! A bit pricey but decent quality.
huge portions of good sushi and only a block from the Pinball museum. Play for a couple hours eat sushi play for a couple more.
First time eating here I'm definitely coming back.
Holy hell I've been eating mediocre sushi so long I forgot what good sushi tasted like.A tiny little storefront hides a cozy restaurant set with wooden stall and free tables in the middle.Service was quick and attentive, the food was delicious, and it wasn't a problem getting in and out in a hurry.
Good Japanese food
Really nice place to have a great sushi. It was delicious
Great little Japanese mom and pop sushi shop.
Love this place! Very friendly! Yummy food.
I can't say how Happy I am, at their level of "take care". They're wearing Masks and Gloves. And Have a Table to make sure rules are followed!?I appreciate.
Good sushi, cozy/quaint setting with wooden booths separated by Shoji screen. Service may be a little slow sometimes, however I found everything decent and decently priced. Will likely return.
This place gives excellent service as well as delicious menu. My favourite place ever. The food and drinks arrived quickly and the rates were economical. Will definitely recommend this spot.
Love the Bay Bridge
The best sushi on the West End. The bridges are fun and the fish was tasty and fresh.
Best little Sushi restaurant in Alameda! The owner is the Sushi chef and he is a master!
we started eating here over 20 years ago, then we would go on first Fridays, now we are going once a week. this is definitely a Webster st. gem. I can honestly say I have never had a meal here that wasn't just the best. there are things that Jacky will bring you that you never even thought about having. once she knows your tastes she will surprise you. I really love these surprises.
The food was very good and there was a surprisingly large amount. The person that took our order was helpful and pleasant.
I've eaten here many times, and I really like the food. It's a very tiny place, but I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table. I don't eat sushi, but I've had their udon, katsu, gyoza, and other entrees. They're all good and pretty standard. The wait stuff is very friendly and attentive.
Sushi was okay, but other places better. Their chicken was weak, but beef tasted like steak
Amazing place and the food is great
The quality of their sushi is very good. Though it may seem like service is inattentive at times, it's only because the restaurant is full.
Don’t know how anyone could rate this place, these people lower than 5 stars
Food and service was amazing. Best place on the island for Sushi 🍣
This spot obviously knows how to please their customers. Always with a welcoming approach. The food is conveniently priced, constantly delightful and clean.
Overpriced. Portions were tiny for the price you pay. Quality is decent at best.
Not a bad option for sushi
A great family owned restaurant! Wonderful personal service from the owners. Good food with lots of options. One of those where I have to add pictures later, because I was too busy enjoying the food and sake ☺
Our go-to place for sushi. I just ask them to put together an order of whatever is fresh and I have always been very pleased. Very comfortable family vibe.
This place is cozy, has great food and they have never disappointed us, with their meals or service, highly recommend!
Very friendly and cozy place with really great food!
Our favorite Japanese restaurant on the island. Japanese run which can be hard to find. Simple but delicious dishes, rolls that aren't obnoxiously and prohibitively large, and a cozy, intimate atmosphere. There can be a wait during peak dining hours so come prepared for that, it's a small establishment.
Great lil sushi spot to get your rolls and sake. Nice nostalgia factor with photographs in their tables of past customers. If your hungry hungry grab one of their bridge plates!
